18 oz
biaxial glass is epoxied in place with West Systems epoxy.

The next day the rough edges are sanded off in
preparation for more 18 oz
biaxial backed with 3/4 oz mat. In total there are six layers of 17 oz or 18oz
biaxial fiberglass each backed with 3/4 oz mat. This might now be the strongest section of the boat based on the thickness of the laminates and the use of epoxy resin.

Outside of hull extension to hull joint is ground out to make room for several layers of 17 oz
biaxial that will "tape" the joint.

Bonding filler
LBI 345 is used to fill the small gaps. Then additional grinding will be necessary to create more space for the glass tape.
